Axel Kolb
Axel Kolb (*2001) is a composer and performer living in Zürich. In his works he addresses and formulates topics which entangle perception and spatiality. Working with fictional scenarios, his acousmatic and electroacoustic pieces and performances are narrations of cognitive distortion, with phantasmagorical objects as protagonists. In his improvised solo drone trombone performances, he makes use of extended playing techniques and live-electronics in order to analogously point to sonic communication, warnings and alarms. In addition, he curates and organises the concert series Spectres for acousmatic music.
Edmund
Edmund is giving a rare insight into his ambient endeavours. The experienced producer and Dj is usually educating under his Ed Lalo moniker where he presents a variety of sounds ranging from contemporary club music to latin, bass and obscure findings. Through his productions as and his involvement and collaborations with various projects in Zurich, Edmund is constantly shapeshifting to form a fitting vessel for the stories he tells.
Livia de Goumoëns
Livia de Goumoëns compositions offer a slow and dense listening expirience. In long repetitive cycles, she evolves a soundscape carefully placed between states of distortion and clarity. Modulated fragments of music and field recording are washed together to gradually blur the line between them. Livias music suggests to question the status quo found in and around the self in an organically distressed language driven by the spirit of sharing to open intimate and reflective spaces.
Her narrative finds shape trough soothing live performances, interdisciplinary collaborations and ecsatic dj sets which she performs under her Grabuge93 moniker.
On this evening, she is performing a new live set involving her guitar as well and we are hugely looking forward to welcome her for her first zürich live performance.
